Capital - regular
The Capital-regular collection is a furniture series created by Kunsik for Cultural Station Seoul 284, a design museum located in the former Seoul Central Station, which was built in 1925 and served as the main hub of Korean modern history and business. Kunsik intended to design furniture that would reflect the building's deep historical context. For this reason, Capital-regular was crafted to blend seamlessly with the architecture of the space, rather than drawing attention to the furniture itself. The outlines of the pieces are simplified shapes derived from the building’s architectural elements. This collection invokes the station’s rich history by reimagining the classic train station bench in a modern form.
