The Mirror

‘The Mirror’ is a pair of mirrors which inverts the materials of leather and mirror. It casts the intuitive meaning of a mirror into the design. The light-aged leather represents our passage of time in front of the mirror. The contrast between the warm and cool temperatures is felt on the surface of the materials reflecting our daily routines. The contrasting physical properties of natural and artificial materials mirror our pursuit of nature in a modern society. The Mirror not only visualizes a mirror’s inverted reflection, it also implies a secondary meaning, ‘to project’.
